You may be asking yourself "what does Tete et Coeur even mean?" The name of my practice was developed from my love of the French language and a theme that comes up time and time again in therapy sessions. In French, "tete" means head and "coeur" is heart. Over the years, I have found myself engaged in discussions about the fusion of the head and the heart. More specifically, an area of struggle for many is that they can intellectually "get" something but they don't fully believe it in their heart. An example of this is the client who tells me that "I know that I'm lovable but I still can't shake feeling unlovable"; the head says one thing but it doesn't resonate in the heart. One of the many reasons people come to therapy is to have a more harmonious internal experience between thoughts and beliefs of self.
At Tete et Coeur Counseling, we provide individual and couples therapy for those who are 18 years and older. Additionally, we offer individual supervision for those seeking their LCSW and/or LAC.
